Switzerland/Italy
In September of 2024, a group of us traveled to Switzerland and then hiked over the
Splugen Pass into Italy where we stayed for 6 nights on Lake Como.
Switzerland's Splugen Pass
A 6-day, self-guided walking holiday along the Via Spluga, one of Europe’s lesser-known transnational trails between Switzerland and Italy. Hike from one traditional guesthouse or hotel to the next, following a 70km trail along alpine mule trails up to Splügen Pass (2,115m), which connects these two countries with the most beautiful of borders. Then its valleys and waterfalls all the way into Lombardy. This trip is a favourite with our dog-walking customers, not just because it’s a moderate level trail, but also because it’s reachable by rail if you are travelling from within Europe.

Lake Como
We tried to sign-up for a Natural Adventure trip on Lake Como, but none were available.
So, we rented an AirBnb
for 6 nights, took day hikes and ferry rides, entertained and relaxed.
