Miracles while at Doctor’s House, Lake Como 2024

• Laura had arrived and found the house and was able to help our van driver find the right house. House is amazing with incredible views and spaces.
• Trip to Nesso - we all were able to make it to the ferry and explore the beautiful town. Found off the beaten path trail and no one fell off the side of the mountain. (Thank you Paul)
• Able to take the bus back and even though trouble figuring out stopping was only a short distance from the house.
• Next day we took a trip to Como on the ferry in the sun. Able to see the beautiful Basilica l. Found a restaurant with lunch and breakfast options. Found a grocery store. After patiently waiting, we found a van to take us all back to the house. Amazing dinner by Marco and John and Sue found the house.
• Next day adventure on the other side of the lake. Took ferry, found bus (crowded but fit) and found the Greenway path. John and Sue found us and were able to walk with us and give ET treatment for his leg on the trail! ET struggled but made it to ferry landing and ferry very late but still able to connect with the next ferry which also ran very late. Able to eat at a lakeside cafe and rest before a long walk up the hill and back to the house.
• Next day each had their own adventure. Paul, Kim, Bruce and Ellie explored Palanza, a beautiful old city and the stations of the cross. Bruce off on his own coming home, Laura her own adventure and we all found our way home and in one piece! ET able to rest at the house. First real sunny day. Able to have groceries delivered!!
• Trip to Bellagio for Laura, Kim, Ellie, ET, Paul and Bruce on a very crowded bus! Saw 100’s of bikers on narrow roads with buses, motor homes, etc and no one got hurt! Able to tour botanical gardens without too many other people. Lunch by lake before crowds arrived. Caught an earlier bus back and ET and Laura made it on at the last minute.
• Last morning and got a late checkout so we were very relaxed. Again a great van driver on a rainy day. Great grocery on the same block as the hotel. Able to get a last minute reservation at a crowded and great restaurant right across the street on another rainy night.
• Used Milan to explore Uomo Cathedral. Got there before crowds arrived. No rain on day walking Milan.Paul able to save his knife! Found canals and a lovely place for lunch again before it became too crowded. Great gelato close to the hotel.
• Laura found us all cheaper taxi service to the airport. Even late pickups for some of us all made it the airport without trouble. Paul and ET were able to get out of Atlanta before the hurricane shut everything down. Bruce, Ellie and Kim make close connections in Chicago. Luggage didn’t make it on the flight but it arrived early the next morning. All made it home without long delays!
• All got along with no major problems.
• All stayed healthy and in one piece!
• Laura home in time to be with Julia in the hospital.
• Another amazing and blessed trip!!!
