Things To Consider
FCC A/V Main Page
- Install permanent monitor speakers for the benefit of those on the chancel.
Plan to experiment with small powered monitor to see if they are useful to speakers.
- Consider installing low profile boundary mics that kids won't be tempted to play with.
Daryl claims that what we've got is the best solution. Permanently mounting them would reduce their flexibility
and perhaps expose them to damage.
- Add one or more wireless microphones. No quote yet on this one.
- Clean up cables in cabinet
We've got really long cables at the console for HDMI and computer.
Would it make better sense to have shorter cables so they don't make so much clutter?
- Make the back light work for the window above the old Lead Ministers Office.
Not familiar with this issue.
- Get a computer and guidelines for processing Sunday recordings
- Buy a digital video recorder
- Move the WIFI Router out of the AV cabinet to behind the organ.
DONE by Kirk - Spring 2015.
- Fix the mic inputs so the West boundary mic doesn't have to cross in front of the chancel steps. (cabling)
The quote from SOA for this cabling is roughly $600.
DONE Re-wiring done by Second Opinion Audio - Spring 2015.
- Install a pulpit mic that could be firmly in place when in use and easily removed when not in use.
Same for lectern. The quote for installing these two new mics is roughly $1000.
DONE Mics installed to pulpit and lectern - Spring 2015.
- Adjust the lighting to include a spot focused on the middle of the chancel and chancel steps.
DONE - by Kirk, Sid, Paul - Summer 2015
- Is it OK to have both lavalier & lectern mics active? NO
