FCC A/V - Sunday Checklist
FCC A/V Main Page
Before the early Service
- Ask if there are A/V needs other than the basics (pulpit, lectern, handheld, lavs)
- Replace rechargeable batteries in wireless mic transmitters LAV1 & LAV2.
- Hand out the wireless LAV mic bodypacks to the preachers
- See if the pulpit mic is needed. Connect if needed, disconnect if not to avoid the visual block
- Make sure the lectern mic is plugged-in. Do a sound check with liturgist if desired.
- Check the battery in HH1 and put it on the front pew
- Use HH2 for any other special speaker or musician
- Set out the assisted listening devices on the back ledge
- Set up the Zoom to record the services (Insert SD card, press Rec-Ready, check signals)
During each Service
- Start recording when prelude begins. (assure adequate rec level)
- Monitor mic levels, assure adequate volume but avoid ringing or feedback.
- If feedback, lower main outputs or the offending input
- Mute LAV1 & LAV2 when the preacher is not speaking
- Mute or lower the choir mics during the sermon for a cleaner recording
- Important: Mute or lower the lectern/pulpit mic if the speaker is using a wireless lav
- Important: Keep HH1 and HH2 receivers muted when not in use (to avoid stray signals)
After the 11AM Service
- Stop the Zoom recorder, remove the SD card and place it under tape at edge of desktop
- Collect handheld and lav mics, store them in the sound desk
