Here's how to burn a CD using the Tascam CD-RW900 which is mounted in the sound desk cabinet.
- Outputs 1 & 2 of the Mackie mixer are routed to the Tascam's input.
Be sure to select Sub 1-2 for each channel that you want recorded, and that the Sub 1-2 faders are at the "U" position.
- Insert a blank CD into the Tascam. Press "Rec" to put unit into "record-ready" mode.
- Press "Play" to start recording... the timer should begin incrementing.
- At the end of the recording, press "Stop".
- To allow the CD to be readable, now press "Finalize" to write Table-Of-Contents info.
When "Finalize?" appears in the display, press the "Multi Jog" wheel inward.
When "Sure?" appears in the display, press the "Multi Jog" wheel inward again.
Finalizing takes about a minute after which you can eject the CD.
Burning a CD can be used to give someone an immediate copy of a service instead of waiting for the Zoom data to be mixed.
Also... burning a CD can be used in conjunction with the Zoom recording as a backup in case the Zoom recording fails.
Let's burn a backup CD of important events such as weddings and funerals.
