If a hand-held or Pulpit/Lectern mic is needed for an FCC event, here are some basic instructions:

• Open the audio desk rolltop and doors using the keys in the audio desk lock box. (Code=1903)

• Turn on the sound equipment using the ONE marked rocker switch on the power sequencer
  (top of left cabinet section)

• Locate a hand-held (HH) mic in the audio desk drawer and turn it on.

• Make sure that the Mackie mixer channels for Pulpit or Lectern or HH1 or HH2 are not Muted

• Handheld and Pulpit/Lectern mics should now be active
  Ideally... only activate the microphone that you need.

• Make sure the Pulpit & Lectern mics are plugged-in to the chancel floor XLR jacks (Mic5 & Mic6)
  (these often get unplugged when cleaning)

• Check dislplay on hand-held mic for adequate battery (2 or 3 bars).
  (replace with 9V batteries from the audio desk drawer)

• Mackie mixer levels are at their default setting and are not Muted.
